My mother calls me long distance from Athens, while watching the game:

“And who is this soldier boy?,” she says.

“Well, mom. He’s a graduate assistant who roams the sidelines to fire up the team,” I reply.

“Well, O.K. then. I think he’s wonderful.” Mom says.
